The apparral oft proclaim the person

For many years young women and men, neatly dressed with American accents, badges in their lapels have gone from house-to-house talking about their religion; they are Mormons. You would spot them a mile away. They are polite, confident and seem sure of themselves. But why do they appear out of place, at least to the writer of this blog?

Is it fair to say it’s that same look or identity is portrayed today by many clerics, perfectly groomed.

Obesrving Jeffrey Donaldson wearing his Christian badge, surely many people would be inclined to ask why wear any insignia that sets a person apart?

In the world in which we live insignia, badges, flags have a place, but common sense, culural norms surely give us hints as how not to appear patronising, how not scream I am special.

Remember the Nazis, their flags and badges?

The mission statement of the Gospel stresses, we are all special
