'Let them both grow till the harvest ' (Matthew 13: 30)

What would or could one take away from today's  Gospel (Matthew 13: 24 -43).

It would be interesting to know what Jesus would have to say about our school system in Ireland. What would he say to religious orders owning private schools, many of which cater for the children of the rich. Indeed, surely it's a system that helps keep society divided; it creates an 'an old boys' club.

On the other hand, if religious orders pulled out of education, large US corporations would fill the gap. That would be a nightmare, and make the divide even worse.

Just a thought on having read today's Gospel.
