Bishop of Portsmouth Philip Egan in the news

It is reported in The Tablet of April 25 that the Bishop of  Portsmouth Philip Egan asked: "Are we reversing the hierarchy of values, putting physical health above spiritual."

He was referring to the closure of churches because of Covid-19.

Is that not a strange question?

The man seems to have an unhealthy understanding of what spiritual means.

What happens so many priests? Why do so many priests speak the strangest of words?
