Saudi Arabia executes 47 people and western silence

Saudi Arabia has announced it has executed 47 people for terrorism, including the prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.

 This country is an ally, a friend of the west. Has there been a word of protest from western leaders about such barbarism?
