At a funeral Mass in a Dublin church today it seemed there was no connect whatsoever between the bereaved and the priest.
It was difficult to hear the words of the officiating priest, who was wearing a maniple. He instructed those present where to go to receive Communion.
The aloofness of it all.
And the see-through lace alb. Is it all a monstrous game?
