Frank McNally and his job as a wildlife executive

If you still have Saturday's Irish Times then make sure to read Frank McNally's Irishman's Diary.

It's a lovely piece about family cats and feline psychology. Did you know cats, at least Frank McNally's Pete, can spot the difference between rain and tap water. He's obviously nervous about the flouride.

And then there are the magpies in the garden and never forget the little robin. Slugs too.

And Frank gets a byline.
