Laura Kuenssberg's political programme returned from the summer break to BBC 1 yesterday morning.
The main interview was with Nigel Farage; his attire was loud, suit and shoes, the man looked like someone working for Del Boy.
I listened to every word he said, disagreeing with him and finding his words vile and implausible, cheap too.
Yet, he made an impression and I can now recall most of what he said.
Later in the programme Kuenssberg interviewed UK Secretary of State for Business, Science and Trade, Jonathan Reynolds. He came across as a reasonable, knowledgeable minister; what he said made sense to me. But I cannot now recall one idea he expressed at the time.
I know it's cliche and taboo too; people easily remembered what Hitler said.
In Germany the far right AfD has topped the poll in the State election in Saxony Anhalt. It's worth noting it is a tiny State in the former GDR.
They are close to an overall majority but the three main parties have pledged not to coalesce with them.
Both Farage and the AfD claim not to be part of the political elite. Nothing could be further from the truth.
But unfortunately, the more Farage and the AfD are accused of wrong doing the more votes they are assured of winning.
