A Dublin Bus double decker vehicle went on fire in service in Donnybrook today. Fortunately, all passengers and driver were able to leave the bus uninjured.
On reporting the incident is seems no media outlet commented on whether the bus was a diesel, hybrid or all-electric vehicle.
It's an extremely rare event for a bus to go on fire with passengers in Dublin.
If it were either a hybrid or all-electric bus it would be of significant news. From pictures available it seems to be a vehicle with a diesel engine.
Over the last 12 months a number of all-electric buses, the EW series, have been spotted broken down on Dublin streets.
