A flaw or two in our much improved transport system

There has been a transformation of public transport in the State in recent years. In Dublin buses seem to be tripping over one another. Buses and trains are comfortable and clean.

The bus fleets are being replaced with new hybrid and all electric vehicles.

There is the relatively new TFI app where you can plan a journey anywhere within the State.

There are at least two problems with the app. It does not give information on Local Link buses.

Its Dublin Bus real time system has a serious flaw. When it tells users a bus is ‘scheduled’ it really mans the bus is not going to turn up.

Why then does it say ‘scheduled’?
