US illiteracy

Thirty million American adults cannot read.

Worldwide, almost 800 million people are illiterate.

And in Ireland the illiteracy rate is down to 18%. That means only 1 in every six people you meet will have difficulty following basic written information. https://www.nala.ie/literacy/literacy-in-ireland
