The Bru Bar and Bistro in Drogheda"s The Haymarket is the venue today for the launch of a book/booklet on the history of the Dominican church and priory in the town. The publication also includes an account of the current campaign to keep the Dominicans in Drogheda.
There has been controversy, which has made it to national media, over the decision by the Irish Dominican friars to leave the town.
The event today is at 11.00 and the book/booklet will be launched by the editor of The Drogheda Independent, Hubert Murphy.
