Signs of appreciation

When people are loved and cherished it usually rubs off on them.

When people are appreciated surely it's a help to spur them on and do more and better.

Most people are fragile and need a friendly word of encouragement, no matter what shadow boxing might take place.

And all the talk one hears about God's love. So often hollow words with no meaning at all. Just simple lies and spoof.

It could be so different. But that's the world.

Today's Gospel reading surely is talking along these lines?
