Still little word from the Russian Orthodox Church on the war in Ukraine.
What a powerful message it would be if senior clergy across Europe travelled to Ukraine.
Wouldn’t it be a far more powerful message than asking us to pray for the people who are being brutalised by the Russian Army.
Words are easy, as are pious ones. And so many pious words are no more than empty cliches.
Pope Francis has sent two cardinals to Ukraine. They are Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the papal almsgiver and Cardinal Michael Czerny, head of the papal office that deals with migration, charity, justice and peace.
Any news on their work and progress?
