The real worth of a missing boarding pass or overweight bag

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has recently bought a 250 acre farm of tillage land in Delvin and Collinstown in Co. Westmeath.

It adds to his approximately 2,000 acre estate in Giggenstown, to which he has added another 58 acres, paying €25,000 per acre.

All those extra costs passengers pay for an overweight bag or forgetting to print a boarding pass must be proving a fabulous income to Mr O’Leary. And then there’s loads more money to keep the grass growing by charging little Jimmy or tiny Mary to sit beside their mammy on the plane to Faro or Frankfurt

Don’t they say he has the common touch.
