Irish Water is in the process of sending every household a package, including a form that requires reading and which the householder has to complete and return by October 31.
Irish Water is not abiding by the rules of the Dublin post code system. In many cases they are omitting the Dublin post number and they are also including the area name, which is not part of Dublin addresses. The correct way to address an envelope for Dublin is:
Mary Ryan,
27 Elm Street,
Dublin 5.
This is what Irish Water is doing:
Anne Murphy,
28 Highfield Road,
Rathgar,
Dublin.
The bookelt is in Irish and English and every household receives two forms, one in English and one in Irish.
Would it not have been possible and far cheaper to have advised households that the forms are available in Irish if required.
Certainly, this postal delivery does not augur well for what's ahead.
