Wearing habits in wet soil and how to bless homosexuals

On the RTÉ 1 main television evening news yesterday there was a report of tree planting at the Benedictine abbey/school in Glenstal, County Limerick.

They showed two monks dressed in their long habits planting trees in soil that must have been wet. Surely not the appropriate garb for working in the soil.

The two stories are part of a piece, they really are.
