Is David Quinn a template for new Irish Catholicism?

This is a quote from David Quinn's Twitter account yesterday.

"Some of the rise in electricity prices you're about to see is the result of subsidising green energy. It would be good if the public were made more aware of this. They might accept it, or might not. But they should know."

David Quinn is a columnist and a former editor of The Irish Catholic.

Most days his tweets are highly critical of government Covid-19 regulations, questioning the seriousness of the virus.

He is also most critical of many EU policies, using terms such as 'diktats from Brussels'.

He seems to be a strong supporter of President Trump.

Of course that's all fine but he writes in a fanatical an obsessive style.

We all know electricity bills include a green subsidy. What's wrong with that? Why all the snide comments?

And Catholic too.

Does he represent a template for a new type of Catholicism in Ireland?

Worrying?
