People who read this blog may be aware that one of the jobs of the 'blogger' is a press officer with an NGO.
At the NGO we have developed a new intranet facility, which is at the cutting edge of communications technology. An intranet allows organisations to avoid the endless emails that are sent around. All documents and information of the organisation can be posted on an intranet and it is secure. These documents become immediately available to everyone who has access to the intranet.
An intranet is perfectly suited to an organisation such as the Dominicans with its world-wide outreach and its home network within each individual province.
Right now the Irish Dominicans are planning for a provincial chapter - an intranet would be the perfect vehicle for the dissemination of material.

Intranets are not cutting edge. They've been around since the internet was set up. Doh!
Thank you for your comment. But why be anonymous.
The wider application of intranet technology is being made more available in medium size companies at present.
Is there a link between remaining anonymous and the use of the word 'Doh'?
Can your religious organisation be compared to a medium sized company? How many members use internet technology? How many are under work-pressure to update their I.T. skills? Are I.T. skills part of their "job description"?
Not open to reasonable criticism. Typical cleric. More clerical than the clerics you criticise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How ARROGANT you are.
Thank you for your comments. I imagine the organisation to which I belong can easily be compared to a medium-size company both in resources and man-power. As to IT skills - it should be no problem to train people in IT skills.
As to the anonymous person who posted the 'arrogant' comment. I just hope they are incorrect.
Somehow one can only think that the tagging on ARROGANT to the author of the blog says more about the poster than the target. At least the author has the guts to come out and call it as he sees it. ANONYMOUS (and their name is legion) hides behind a facade. It is a great pity that there are not more who will stand up and be counted.
Why do you imagine so? Can you make concrete parallels? Numbers, ages, standard of education, kind of education, job descriptions, etc.
This is becoming complicated. Again, the 'Michael' with the published comments is not the person who writes this blog. '(And their name is legion)' - more mystery, as I have no idea who it may be.
