Closing time in Limerick Dominican church is 4.15pm

Text below from a reader of this blog.

Just had the most interesting experience. I called into the Dominican church in Limerick and say a prayer.

That was a 4.10. At 4.14 I was tapped on the shoulder and asked to leave because they had to "lock up the church “.

This is the time when a lot of school children will be going home, who might drop into a church to pray and it's really sad to see a city centre church locked up at this hour of the day.

It's not a particularly welcoming atmosphere in the church, lots of ads for the rosary crusade and pilgrimages to various places but nothing I can see about building a community
