Remembering the furniture vans moving from Bonn to Berlin

On this day, June 20, 1919 the German parliament (Der Bundestag) voted to move the seat of parliament from Bonn to Berlin.

Today the former government and State buildings in Bonn are used for much State business and also house many German and international NGOs.

How would Europe, the world, look today that after the collapse of the German Democratic Republic a new democratic State had been formed in the former GDR, which would have allowed for two German States to exist side by side?

The history of Berlin as a German capital has led to much main and suffering: the German Empire, the Nazis and the Communists.

Hopefully it will work,  on this its fourth occasion.
