European bishops stand in front of the tanks in Ukraine

There has been little word from the Russian Orthodox Church on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Christian bishops around the world have called for prayers for the people of Ukraine.

It is a fine gesture.

But what might happen if say all the Irish bishops, indeed, all European bishops went to Ukraine and stood, dressed in their robes, in front of the Russian and Ukrainian tanks.

Wouldn’t such an act make their prayers so real and powerful. And would Putin really order the tanks to keep rolling?
