Last evening's RTE Nine O'Clock News reported an incident at Hamburg Airport. A pepper spray was found and gas from the spray spread through the airport through the ventilation system.

No one received serious injury.

Yesterday Germany elected a new president. Frank-Walter Steinmeier was elected 12th president of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The RTE Nine O'Clock News made no reference to the German election.
