All RTE needs do is turn on German or Austrian radio or television to hear his name correctly pronounced. Or for that matter, listen to BBC.
Why do we so often and so easily copy the US, even when they are wrong?

the different newspapers and TV channels don't investigate them self anymore on the major global happenings. They buy news bundles from DPA, Reuters, Associated Press and other news agencies - it's all synchronized (and well controlled).
