Francis allegedly used offensive language about gay men.

Pope Francis has landed himself into a controversy that is sure to take on legs. It might well allow for an enlightening debate about a most delicate topic. But it is time the taboo was lifted on the subject.

The link below is to a Guardian report about alleged words Pope Francis said talking to bishops.

Is it possible that Pope Francis believes that priests, who are homosexual, are usually different from homosexual men who are not in a clerical state. Homosexual clerics are usually misogynist, not so with non clerical gay men. Indeed in the past British Airways found gay cabin crew were particularly kind towards female passengers and never showed any signs of misogyny.

Gay priests are generally conservative, not so with non clerical gay men. But never good to generalise.

How many paedophile priests are homosexual in orientation?

Does clerical celibacy work in the 21st century?

In the 1960s novices were told that clerical celibacy was an escathalogical sign and gave priests more time, energy and opportunity to work.

Both extremely spurious reasons.

Freud spoke of the human infant as 'polymorphously perverse' and was perhaps somewhat optimistic in thinking that most of humanity could reduce that perversity to a simple heterosexual desire.

Pope Francis allegedly used offensive slur during discussion about gay men.
