Catholic Church and PR

What is it about the institutional Catholic Church that it never seems to do PR in any sort of professional way?

Is it possible that Pope Francis is trying to change the tide of incompetent PR?

From the Vatican to the smallest church/parish the institutional church always seems to get it so wrong.

Just this week a local newspaper in Drogheda reported that someone at a public meeting told a priest that they did not trust him.

The 'Drogheda Life' wrote: "Fr Harris continued, 'as a provincial councillor I will report back about the hurt and the pain that this is causing', to which someone shouted, 'we don't trust you'."

At least, it is embarrassing. As is the accompanying video with the clip.

Arrogance, laziness or stupidity? Or all three?
