Quirkiness of names at Irish Rail stations

Could it confuse the passenger not familiar with this part of mid-Kerry. Why does Irish Rail not replace the missing letters?

In another life it was Ráth Luirc, later An Ráth, then they changed it again to Ráth, which is what’s on the platform these days.

Thurles was Durlas Éile, they dropped the Éile and now it is simple Durlas/Thurles.

Newbridge was Droichead Nua, now it is Newbridge and Droichead Nua.

All part of the fun travelling by rail in Ireland.

Irish Rail should be complimented for its/their new signage at stations. But maybe they should be even bigger and more of them on the platforms.
