A Russian version of Goebbels’ 1943 harangue

While there are stark differences, yet anyone who observed Vladimir Putin speaking at Red Square on Victory Day could easily be reminded of Josef Goebbels diatribe in Berlin in 1943 after the defeat of the German Army at Stalingrad.

The choreography in Moscow today was far more controlled and sophisticated than in Berlin in 1943.

There is irony all about Putin’s words, behaviour and setting in Moscow today.

Moscow 2022 had glimpses of a throwback to Berlin 1943.
