RTE's saying hello to the homeless on the street

RTE Radio's Morning Ireland yesterday carried a piece on the plight of the homeless.

They interviewed a number of homeless people. Among those they interviewed was a woman whose husband/partner had died recently.

She spoke eloquently about her life and current plight.

She made a comment that was most striking. She said that it meant so much to her when a passerby greeted her, simply said hello.

Such a simple act to say hello to a person sitting on the side of the street. So easy to greet a poor person.

It's a great little project.

Thank you to RTE and the lady who spoke on Morning Ireland yesterday.

It's always the little things that make us, and also give us away.
