Plans for new routes at Dublin Bus

On Tuesday Irish media gave significant coverage of the National Transport Authority, NTA, plan for the redesign of Dublin Bus routes.

It was somewhat vague. A plan to change routes designations from numbers to letters. Why?

The United States of America is known for having a weak public transport infrastructure. And certainly bus services in cities across the US are poor in the extreme.

The company commissioned by the NTA to draw up a new plan for Dubln Bus is the US company Jarrett Walker and Associates.

Confusing, to say the least.
