Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was born on this date, February 4, 1906 in Breslau, now Wrocklaw in Poland.

He was a theologian and anti-Hitler campaigner.

He was hanged at Flossenbürg onApril 9, 1945, days before the collapse of the Hitler government. He was 39 years old.
