Hardly unique to RTE

Any possibility RTE send out a memo telling staff that the word 'unique' cannot be qualified.

Yesterday on RTE Radio 1, sport's journalist Des Cahill spoke about something being 'very unique'. 

It happens every day on the station and sounds awful. 

But probably not unque to RTE.
