Cardinal George Pell

It was stomach-churning listening to Cardinal Pell this morning. BBC Radio 4 played an extract form his video link between Rome and Australia.

Does the man not even feel embarrassed? Breath-taking.

The Vatican is in danger of becoming a haven for top churchmen who have contributed mightily to the persistence of child abuse in their former dioceses.

Pope Francis needs to get a grip and not reward these people whatever their supposed expertise in other areas.
