German President Christian Wulff was interviewed on television last evening in connection with the 'loan affair'.
Today Bild Zeitung newspaper questions the veracity of what he said in the interview.
They have asked President Wulff if they can publish the message he left on their answering machine.
The President has asked that the publishing of the information appear after his return from the Gulf States.
