Sixty-seven years ago today the Soveit Army arrived at the gates of Auschwitz.
Some years ago a Dublin Jew who worked as a dentist remarked that he could never set foot on German soil after what the Germans had done.
Anyone who reads Vasily Grossman's 'Time and Fate' must understand why the Dublin dentist felt as he did.
It wasn't just a handful of crazy Nazis who slaughtered millions but armies of Germans.
Reading Grossman and seeing what they did in Russia is really unimaginable.
