Before the advent of technology there was some truth in the adage that a picture never lies. That certainly is no longer true. Photoshop has put paid to that.
Nevertheless this picture has a great story behind it.
What young men in their 20s in the developed world in 2009 play snowballs wearing long dress-style clothing with immaculate coiffured hair, highly polished shoes with gleaming white cuffs and cuff links?

But not for a moment does the picture tell a lie. It is screaming out loud a clear and evident phenomenon.
Reports in today's Irish newspapers concerning Fr Marcial Maciel reveal that the founder of the Legionaries of Christ fathered at least one child with a mistress.
The late Fr Marcial was disciplined by church authorities in 2006 for sexual abuse of boys and men.
In May 2006, Pope Benedict instructed Fr Macial to retire to a life of 'prayer and penitence' following 20 sex abuse allegations.
