Have you noticed how shops are pricing items with the Return symbol?
A four-pack 00 Guinness is priced in large print as €6.50, but written below that price in much smaller print is '60c deposit’. It can very easily be missed. Why do the retailers not include the deposit price in the selling price?
At present Lidl checkout tills contain large quantities of one and two cent coins. Why then if the shopper’s total is €20.18/19 do they round up and charge €20.20?
Small change maybe, but every one and two cent coin add up.
