Fr John Heuston OP features on 'Sunday: Bowman'

An interview with the late Dominican priest, John Heuston featured this morning on RTE Radio's Bowman: Sunday.

The interview, which took place in Rome, was an excerpt from a 'Highways and Byways' piece by former RTE journalist Donncha Ó Dúlaing.

The interview was at approximately 08.53 and lasts four minutes 20 seconds. Well worth a listen.

Why has the Irish Dominican province not done more in featuring aspects of the life of Fr John Heuston this year? It would have been an ideal opportunity, this the year of the centenary of the 1916 Rising and also the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Dominican Order.

It could have made a great story, linking the life of the Order with an important historical event in the life of Ireland.

Another missed opportunity.
