Today is World Toilet Day

Today is World Toilet Day, a day to galvanise advocacy efforts around improved sanitation and highlight the plight of the 2.5 billion people without access to sanitation.  http://www.unwater.org/worldtoiletday/

Ten million child deaths in children  under five  since 2000 are attributed to a lack of sanitation http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-11-19/10-million-child-deaths-attributed-to-a-lack-of-toilets.html

Highly recommended is the  “Take the Poo to the Loo”  Take The Poo To The Loo video which Unicef India have made is a short film on YouTube

For those with children there are two educational games they might enjoy playing: TurdlyWinks and the Toilet Trek Game http://www.unicef.org/toilets4all/   Toilet Trek game
