New Dominican website

The Dominican Order seems to have redesigned its website.

What has happened the Irish province and can anyone throw light on how to navigate on the site?

I have to say I prefered the 'old' Dominican website ! The Irish Dominican site is impressive, however it lack any link to the Lay Dominicans, and there seems to be no way of contacting the webmaster. I'd like to see a forum on the Irish Dominican website, where members of the Province could discuss and debate issues relevant to the apostolate and community life in the province. Obviously access to this forum would be restricted to members of the Irish Domican Province. I hope the webmaster of www.domincanfriars.ie will take on board my suggestion !

It would be terrific to have an open and honest debate within the province. But is it possible?

Of course it would have to be restricted.

Would people continue to remain anonynmous?

The current Irish Dominican website does not seem to be in a position to stimulate or create any sort of serious debate.

There was a time when Far and Near was trying to get people talking.
