On Friday September 5, Fr Pat Lucey was elected provincial of the Irish province of the Dominican Order.
Best wishes to Fr Lucey during his term as provincial. The term is for four years.

Do we know what topics and papers are under discussion at the Chapter?
Commissions have been set up. From these commissions papers will be prepared for chapter discussion.
Today the ruling body of the chapter will be elected. These people will go on to be part of the provinical council for the next four years.
Six commissions were agreed upon and members allocated to each of these.
The commissions are:
1. Government with four members;
2. Our Future with six members;
3. Vocations, formation and studieswith seven members;
4. Preaching, mission and collaboration with five members;
5. Finances with four members;
6. Care of the brothers, the sick and the elderly with four members.
