Dublin road network not fit for purpose

There was a serious accident on the M50 yesterday morning in which a motorcyclist lost his life. That is catastrophic for the man and his family and friends. Another life lost on our roads.

As a result of the serious accident on the M50 chaos reigned in the city for the day. Bus services were paralysed.

Traffic management is not working in Dublin. Why are there not signs dotted around the city advising people of delays? Why not have radio interruptions with road information, something that is available across Europe?

But all of that falls into unimportance when compared to a man losing his life in a road traffic accident.
