I imagine that a significant reason for the Irish Catholic Church to be as it is today is because for decades those in 'power' never knew what it meant to feel uncomfortable.

Peace should be promoted but the opposite is done. Think about the normal shop owners for instance who loose their livelihood or the police officers who have to put up with this... Trump takes a helicopter into to safety if he needs to. America can vote him out in November 2020 trough a democratic process!
