Teaching Christian doctrine

There are many Catholics who talk about how a 'Catholic' ethos has disappeared in our schools. They talk about how there has been a fall off in the teaching of Christian doctrine in school.

In the last 48 hours the writer of this blog has asked over 40 people to explain the meaning of yesterday's liturgical feast.

Not one person knew the meaning of the feast.

Presumably because while they were teachable, they were at school and school had a holiday that day!
