JB Malone remembered close to White Hill

Tess en route today to the top of Djouce, which is 725 metres, via White Hill in Wicklow.

Overlooking Lough Tay at a spot, which has a plaque to honour journalist and author JB Malone, who wrote many walking guides while working at The Herald.

Malone's walking guides are considered classic works.
